You should NOT tan after waxing.
Tanning can make the skin more sensitive to procedures including waxing. Tanning prior to waxing causes an increased risk of skin irritation. If you tan directly after waxing, you run the increased risk of sunburn to that area. It is best to wait at least 24 hours before and after waxing to tan.
Can I Use Self-Tanners before or after Waxing?
You should not use a self-tanner before or after waxing. Your color may come out uneven in the areas that are being/have been waxed. The same rule applies for body scrubs. These can make your skin more sensitive to the waxing.
More Waxing Less Hair
The great thing about waxing is that over time the procedure will result in less hair in the areas that are waxed consistently. Because waxing tears the hair from the follicle, it causes follicle damage. The follicles then tend to produce new hairs that are finer and thinner. Over time, some follicles stop producing all together.
