Cleaning Your Coffee Maker
It is very simple to clean your coffee maker with vinegar. First, make sure you have white vinegar. Fill your coffee pot full with a mixture of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water. Pour the vinegar/water solution into your coffee maker’s reservoir and turn the coffee maker on. After the full pot of the vinegar/water mixture runs through it, turn the coffee maker off and let it cool. Fill the coffee pot with clean water and run the coffee maker again. Let the coffee maker cool and then repeat the process with cool water. Cleaning your coffee maker with vinegar once a month will keep it working smoothly and efficiently.
Why White Vinegar?
White vinegar is a popular choice for home cleaning for many reasons. It is an environmentally friendly cleaner that will not harm people or pets. It does not have a strong odor, which makes it the perfect cleaner for someone who cannot tolerate strong odors. White vinegar is also very acidic, which allows it to kill most molds, viruses, and bacteria. Using vinegar as a cleaner also makes good economic sense. It can be bought anywhere, in various amounts and at a very low price.
