Slideshow: Grant Writing Tips
Understanding the requirements and objectives of the grant you are applying for inside and out will help you to create a targeted proposal.
Though the proposal summary comes first in your grant proposal, you should write it last when you have a clear vision of your intentions. The proposal summary is similar to the opening paragraph of any important piece of writing and needs to capture the readers attention and get him involved.

Your grant proposal must introduce the organization applying for the grant to the funder. Be sure to give examples of the organization's credibility. Keep examples concise and tightly parallel to the grant's purpose.

The problem statement should be the most honed of all sections of the grant proposal. Cleary and concisely outline the problem that your organization is going to solve with the grantor's money.

The project evaluation should outline a viable and realistic method to evaluate the successes and milestones of the project as they occur. It's important to demonstrate to the funder that you have a well conceived, measurable plan.
