Learning how to make lip gloss is easy whether you’re looking to toss your commercially produced lip gloss in favor of something organic or you just want a unique, one-of-a-kind product. With a homemade product you will have the luxury of choosing your own flavor and color combinations as well.
Homemade Vanilla Lip Gloss
1 tsp Petroleum Jelly
1 tsp Aloe Vera Gel
1 1/2 tsp Coconut Oil
1/2 tsp Vanilla
Heat together in a double boiler and pour into jars. That’s it!
This recipe is easily modified. As an example you can replace the vanilla flavoring with coca cola, or cherry juice which will also add a red tint. You can also add candy melts to give it color and make it taste sweet at the same time. You can also find various flavoring drops in craft stores to add to the mix.
Lip gloss can also be made with combination of ingredients like bees wax, almond oil, food coloring, Paraffin wax and other basic natural ingredients. You don’t have to second guess the lip gloss that you put on your lips bought from a store. Make your own and you know exactly what you are putting on your face.
The perfect container would be your last commercial lip gloss container recycled. You can also purchase containers at craft stores or use small spice tins.
