This style requires a long scarf. Drape the scarf over your head, centering it on your forehead.
Pull it back tightly behind your head at the nape of your neck just is if you were gathering hair for a ponytail.
Hold the top of the ‘ponytail’ located at the nape of the securely with one hand, while grasping the loose hanging ends together. Starting at the top, twist them together moving your hand downward as you twist. Hold the bottom securely when done.
Bring the hanging twist up across the scarf on top your head like a crown bringing it back to the nape of the neck.
Tuck the loose hanging end into the newly formed loop that was created at the nape of neck between the original point where you started the twist, and the loop that was formed when you brought the twist around your head.
