The polar bear is the world’s largest bear. According to the National Wildlife Federation, an adult male polar bear can weigh more than 1700 pounds! That’s the size of a U-Haul trailer. Female polar bears weigh about half as much as males. Polar bear cubs weigh as little as 1.5 pounds at birth.
